Our CEO, Phil Clarke has over 10 years experience in the recruitment industry in UK and Europe and his experience includes;
European Head of recruitment for Nortel Networks,
Talent Manager for the creation of Nortel Networks Global Professional Services Division
Global Head of Recruitment for Marconi.
Philip began his career as a recruitment professional in 1995 when he worked for Eurosoft Solutions in Paris. By 1998 he was Country Manager for an International recruitment consultancy based in Sophia Antipolis (France) supplying IT professionals to hi-technology companies such as Schlumberger, Sun Microsystems and others.
In 1999, Philip was recruited as a key play of the Nortel Networks European HR team, based in the UK. Philip headed up recruitment for Nortel in the UK and Ireland. He was subsequently promoted to manage the recruitment activity for Nortel’s newly created Global Professional Services division.
In 2001, Philip was invited to join Marconi to take control of their Global Resourcing model. He spent three years working on projects including the implementation of a Recruitment Process Outsourcing solution and its ongoing evolution and taking responsibility for Marconi’s Employer Brand and internal Talent Management process.
When Philip launched Independent RPO in 2004, it was in response to his belief that the recruitment industry contained too many examples of poor quality service and its stakeholders needed to take ownership for driving best practice resourcing.
Since then, Philip has built a team of 14. This team has delivered significant cost and time savings to clients such as British Energy, Northern Foods, Kingston Communications and Visto with whom the company has exclusive RPO contracts.
Philip is passionate about what he does. He is an ardent believer in the need for independence and refuses to compromise his company’s beliefs in the search for greater profits.
